There are many photo resources out there already however finding really good ones may sometimes be really tedious task – especially when you have to dig through hundreds or even thousand of pictures in search for the right one.
The problem is we often face is that pictures look unnatural or the better ones are frequently used on other site. And I prefer to have at least little bit unique content on my sites. Unless you have lots of time and resources or hefty budget for food photography you may want to resort to use of stock photos.
Creative Market is fairly new marketplace in terms of photos, however it’s community & number of photographers providing quality photos is growing rapidly. It also comes handy when picking up food photos, as there are few authors out there who provide really beautiful and professional food pictures. Here there is quick list of authors who are worth checking out and can help you to bring your food blog & recipe website to the next level.
1. Grafvision Photography
Romania based Janos Cseh is the photographer who stands behind the Grafvision Photography. He has almost 2 thousand photos listed in his shop you can choose from. What I like about his food photos is the fact that he is focused on the main food item, however in most of the cases photo contains some accompanying theme around the main item, like in his honey themed photos, mushrooms, series. Simple, rustic, unique food photos with nice composition – this is how I would describe it.
I’d suggest you check out Grafvision’s food photos yourself as I am sure you can find something nice for your food blog – perhaps it will be something for your Christmas themed blog post, e.g. like the Gingerbread man cookies
2. Apolonia
Apolonia is an another noteworthy shop run by Maryna Voronova. Although Apolonia’s stock photos focus on many different topis – food pictures take a great part of it. When browsing through the shop Christmas themed photos caught my attentions – to be specific cute Christmas muffins photos. Keeping in mind that Halloween is tomorrow Apolonia has awesome marzipan ghosts sponge cake photo collection to – see what I mean. As a food blogger or owner of the cooking/food related site you can’t miss it.
3. Natasha Breen
Natasha Breen’s shop has also many photos in it’s collection that suit food blogging. Personally love the Christmas photo collections that warm up Christmas spirit already. Ginger cookies in all shapes and sizes, ginger bread man and other Christmas themed photos may become handy already when you plan your posts for the holiday season approaching quickly. Check out this photographer Christmas (and not only) stock photos here.
4. Tigerpix Images
Tigerpix is providing great quality stock photo images commercially since 2012. Don’t hesitate to check out their beautiful stock photo collection as for sure you can find there many quality food photos for your website. Tigerpix Images’s photos are not only food, however you can see quality in their work whatever the subject. Whether it is close ups of the food, holiday decorations, seasonal theme pictures or landscapes the quality is always there. By adding photos like those to your site you will be able to catch your visitors attention, keep them longer on your site and make an impression of the professional website or blog.
5. Letterberry
Letterberry is the next shop selling food photos that is worth your attention. Although the number of photos is not huge, these are very natural looking food images that can make your site more attractive. There are quite few dessert and fruit photos that will suit any baking enthusiast.
Naturally 5 Photographers shops I mentioned above were chosen accordingly to my personal preferences and there are only foretaste of what kind of food stock photos you can get by doing a little bit more research. Sometimes it is worth to spend those 5 extra minutes and choose nice imagery for your blog posts or even recipes as it will help you create brand and attract more visitors too.
